There are 6 balconies on the rear elevation of this building, that were written into a Notice of Violation on May 25, 2016 and identified by Complaint Tracking Number 201619931. These same rear balconies have deteriorated further and are sundried and twisted beyond serviceability. Posts are visibly rotted away from their base and hanging outside the balcony envelope. The steel railings rely on wood structure for support and are out of level and plumb. There is a concrete post that has crumbled and cracked through. Some of the wood floor joists are split and hanging out of position. These conditions are a danger to any user of the balconies or rear yard.     The legal description of this building is an R2 apartment building with four floors above grade plane containing 3 floors of residential occupancy over a lobby and utility rooms and garages on the ground floor. There are 6 balconies on the rear elevation of this building, that were written into a Notice of Violation on May 25, 2016 and identified by Complaint Tracking Number 201619931. These same rear balconies have deteriorated further and are sundried and twisted beyond serviceability. Posts are visibly rotted away from their base and hanging outside the balcony envelope. The steel railings rely on wood structure for support and are out of level and plumb. There is a concrete post that has crumbled and cracked through. Some of the wood floor joists are split and hanging out of position. These conditions are a danger to any user of the balconies or rear yard.
