    stop all work immediately you are in violation of san francisco's lead abatement regulations. the san francisco building code section 3423 governs the requirements of dealing with work that disturbs or removes lead-based paint. you were warned in the notice of violation referenced with complaint number 201331671 to adhere to these standards. violations were cited at the front entrance to your building and in the sitting area. clean up, containment barrier systems and measures implemented to restrict access to work areas must be approved by the housing inspector before work resumes. clean up standards at the time of inspection lead paint was being disturbed without adequate containment. uncontained paint chips were observed at the front entrance and sitting area. immediately clean up all paint chips, debris and dust in an approved manner as instructed at the time of inspection. containment and barrier systems the containment system in place at the time of inspection was inadequate to contain all paint chips, debris and dust. establish and maintain the required containment and barrier systems. prevent migration establish a restricted work area with full containment to prevent the migration of work debris outside the work area. restrict access establish a regulated work area that restricts access to only those qualified to disturb lead paint. containment must be established in a way that allows safe passage in and out of the building for building occupants without exposing them to lead based paint chips, debris and dust. provide signage at the time of inspection there were no lead hazard signs posted: post the required signage.
